a new place to call home

married life for the past 24 days has been great! i can hardly believe the wedding was almost a whole month ago! kevin and i still have a lot left to do to organize our apartment. actually, we have a lot left to do in general. i'm sure people are wondering where their thank you cards are for wedding gifts. i'm still working on them! it takes a long time, especially when we are both trying to write thank you messages in each card. we are so grateful for every one that came to our wedding to celebrate with us. and we are even more lucky to have such great friends and family. people gave us the nicest things that we use every single day. i still remember who the items are from and think of that person each time i use it--like the dishes from my aunt kathy and gail, the pots from kevin's uncle steven and erika, the luggage we used on our honeymoon from the rude family and scott family, etc. it's been so fun because we didn't have too much stuff to begin with. it was either really used from our 5 years at college or something we bought really cheap at the goodwill. thank goodness we didn't have too many duplicates that needed to be returned...so that was nice. now we are left with tons of gift cards (which will definitely come in handy) and a bunch of great housewares that make our humble house a little more homey. yesterday we got to purchase a new bamboo dish rack, a wood salad bowl and a really cute vintage-inspired water pitcher at crate and barrel. it's fun using our giftcards :)

i'll send out thank you's as soon as their ready. please know that we are grateful beyond words for all the love and support we've been showered with lately. kevin and i couldn't be happier. as soon as our apartment is more organized, i'll post some photos of it as well. we are so happy to finally have a place to call home. here's our new address to jot down if you want:
